2007 Summertime - 70% Grenache, 17% Syrah and 13% Mourvedre. A profound Rose. Deep, with a rich mouth-feel and complex flavors. Excellent food paring wine. Serve with chicken, lamb or turkey. Silver Medal Winner ~ 2008 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2005 'Round Midnight - 45% Syrah, 33% Mourvedre, 22% Grenache. Sophisticated and bold. A classic Rhone style blend. Balanced and, fruit-forward. Taste berries, cherries, rhubarb and hints of vanilla. 2005 Satin Doll - 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Syrah. Elegant and smooth with a very long finish. This wine is bursting with intricate herb and fruit flavors. Gentle oak shades the finish. Bronze Medal Winner ~ 2008 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2005 My Generation - 45% Zinfandel, 28% Syrah, 18% Mourvedre, 9% Petite Sirah. A Zinfandel from our estate vineyard and the neighboring, Remo Belli Vineyard, is blended with the classic Rhone varietals. A huge, ripe super-tanker of a wine. Round and full, this is a perfect example of the "new" breed of Paso Robles wine. Silver Medal Winner ~ 2008 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2006 Heart of Glass - 72% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, 13% Syrah. Eminently approachable. Fresh strawberries, cherries and gentle rose petal on the nose. The fruit carries through to the palate with the addition of smoky, earth and leathery touches. This along with the clear bright color makes this wine the perfect partner to grilled scallops, or perhaps braised endive or radicchio. Have a glass while preparing. Silver Medal Winner ~ 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition Competition 2006 'Round Midnight - 44% Syrah, 28% Mourvedre, 28% Grenache. Brambly Syrah aromas of blackberries with hints of strawberry, coupled with earthy 'bacon fat' and black pepper spice. Notice how the palate mirrors the nose. This rich deep wine is balanced and perfectly suited to roasted rack of lamb or seared flat iron steak. If matching to lighter fare consider roasted vegetables with shaved pecorino. Silver Medal Winner ~ 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2006 Satin Doll - 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Syrah, 20%Cabernet Franc. Notice first the wonderful deep color, then take in the deep boysenberry nose with light spicy oak, and a little black olive. The rich lively palate delivers what the nose promises with pronounced berry fruit and a long lovely finish. A deep, captivating and approachable Cabernet. Have a glass with your pasta carbonara or even a simple grilled steak. Silver Medal Winner ~ 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2006 My Generation - 60% Zinfandel, 20% Petite Sirah, 11% Syrah, 9% Mourvedre. Blended from our estate Zinfandel and Rhône varietals this wine begins with a lively raspberry nose balanced with spicy oak and subtle vanilla. The other notes of darker berry and black pepper are integrated on the palate along with soft tannins and gentle acidity. The long dry finish lends itself particularly well to a rich lasagna or a platter of savory cheese and crusty bread. GOLD Medal Winner ~ 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition |
